, or lost a pregnancy in the first 20 week (1), is very common. At least 1 in 3 pregnancies end in miscarriage (2), even though people do not always know that they are pregnant when it happened. Sometimes the egg implants only for a short time, and then disappear. Most people will not know they are pregnant in this scenario. It is estimated that about 1 out of 5 is clinically recognized pregnancies - meaning the pregnancy that most people would realize, often causing menstruation -. End miscarriage (2,3)

The most common miscarriage within the first six weeks of pregnancy, it becomes less likely developing pregnancy (2,3). If a miscarriage occurs, most likely in the first trimester (first 13 weeks of gestation) (4).

When a miscarriage occurs before someone know that they are pregnant, it may be difficult to distinguish between normal menstrual periods and miscarriage.

If you get a period of less than two weeks after menstruation, it is difficult to know whether it is the end of the period or miscarriage. Miscarriage in the period are not usually seasoned with severe or longer bleeding (7).

Also, people who suffered this miscarriage early (ie less than or equal to two weeks after the expected period) are highly unlikely to experience complications.

The bleeding from the later miscarriage will contain the fetus tissue, and blood clots are likely to be greater than during a normal menstrual period. the network may be different from the menstrual blood (ex. gray), consistency / texture, and shape.

Although miscarriages that occur around the time period does not represent a threat to one's health, people may be concerned about their chances of having a healthy pregnancy in the future.

Since the very early miscarriages occur quite frequently and many people who experience this type of miscarriage did not know they had a miscarriage at all, it is unlikely that a single initial miscarriage that occurs before it is even detected to have implications for the long-term fertility. Many people who experience a miscarriage, even then becomes pregnant and a couple of times, can go on to have healthy pregnancies in the future (2,6,8).

If you're nervous that you might be pregnant and want to know whether your bleeding is a miscarriage or a normal period, you must take a pregnancy test or see your doctor.

If you have, trying to get pregnant, or worry you are pregnant, and you are not sure of being if you have to take, considering the risks of pregnancy:

You are at risk of pregnancy if you have unprotected penis-in-vagina sex or have a high risk of sperm touches your genitals. Risk varies during your cycle.

sperm exposure pose the highest risk of pregnancy from about mid-cycle for about 2 weeks before your anticipated period, as this is when most people have ovulated. You should take a pregnancy test or contact your doctor if menstrual nine or more days late.

If you want to take a pregnancy test quickly, it is generally recommended to wait at least two weeks after the estimated day of ovulation, or approximately when you expect to get your period. For the most accurate results, it's best to wait a few days after your expected period. Some pregnancy tests advertise that you can take them earlier than that, but before you take the test is less accurate it (9). It's up to you if you want to take faster.

You can take a pregnancy test about two weeks after the last unprotected intercourse you, though wait a few more days will help improve the accuracy of the results.
