Surprise! One week is not actually pregnant pregnant at all. Say what ?!
Most OBS calculate pregnancy from the first day of your last period. That's because ovulation and conception really hard to pinpoint, but the physical signs of menstruation easier to spot. So in speaking doctors, meaning pregnant 1 week you on your period and not pregnant. You will not actually pregnant your baby until week two or three, depending on the length of your cycle.
If you have just found you expect, you might think this is the first week of your pregnancy, but you're probably about 4 weeks pregnant. Alright! (OB You will provide a more accurate estimate of when you go in for your first prenatal appointment.) Skip ahead and check.
In the first weeks pregnant-remember, in these early stages, the symptoms you are experiencing are those that are typical for the period you because you are not actually pregnant. These symptoms can last anywhere from three to seven days and can include:
In your stomach 1 week (remember, you are not actually pregnant at the moment), the body your release last month of the uterine lining and begin to form new ones, which (with a bit of luck!) will hold a fertilized egg next month
interesting facts :. human egg is the largest cell in the body. The eggs are smaller than specks of pepper. your body will release a single (or in rare cases, two) eggs somewhere between day 10 and day 19 of your menstrual cycle, or about 14 days before the next menstruation is expected. It can be fertilized for about 12 to 24 hours afterwards. Having sex even before it was very helpful, because sperm can live in your body for six days.
The first signs of pregnancy will not happen right away-in fact, many women lose their periods at 4 weeks before they begin to feel "different." But some of the early signs of pregnancy are common in the first weeks after conception including breast pain or tenderness, nausea, fatigue and frequent urge to urinate.
In the weeks pregnant (aka hoping to get pregnant!), You might think about how you can prep your body for carrying an infant. It is a good idea to start pregnancy at a healthy weight and free from bad habits such as smoking and drinking. Reduce your caffeine intake to the equivalent of a cup or two of coffee (we're talking 8-ounce cup instead Venti!) Per day.
You may not have an ultrasound of pregnant 1 week. But if you've been trying for a while to get pregnant and have seen a fertility specialist, you may have an ultrasound to check for fibroids, to see how many follicles (which grew into an egg) is in your ovaries and / or measuring the thickness of your uterine lining. If there is a problem, the doctor may prescribe fertility treatments that can help you get pregnant.
Now, get ready to have some sex. You have a baby to make
