Implantation is when the fertilized egg, or blastocyst, had been attached to the uterine lining. This marks the beginning of pregnancy. The medical community, including the FDA, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the National Institutes of Health agree that a woman is considered pregnant until implantation has occurred. So, medically speaking, successful implantation at the beginning of
This may help to better understand the implantation when you take a quick look at the journey to pregnancy :.
In order to answer this question, we need to see how you are pregnant. In order to get pregnant, you need ovulation (when the egg is released you). If you have unprotected sex anytime from about 5 days before until 24 hours after the time you are ovulating, conception can take. Then, the process takes a few days pregnant - fertilized eggs (now called a blastocyst) has just begun a long journey.
After the egg is fertilized, now have to travel all the way up into the uterus for implantation takes place. As the blastocyst make this trip, it will continue to grow in size. At the same time, the cells will continue to divide and reproduce. Implantation of a fertilized egg is expected to last about 9 days (+/-) after ovulation. So, once conception has occurred, the blastocyst has to travel up into the uterus, and then implantation occurs after blastocyst has found a place in the wall of the uterus that want to attach.
It takes an estimated 7 to 14 days from the date you have sex for the implantation takes place, and you are now officially pregnant.
The first implantation is a trigger for your body to start producing, (also known as the hormone of pregnancy). pregnancy tests (good ones) for the presence of hCG to confirm a pregnancy. Implantation must occur for these hormones are produced.
If implantation does not occur, pregnancy tests can not detect hCG and will give a negative result. Thus, the implantation must take place before a pregnancy can be identified with a pregnancy test.
It takes a few days to establish a pregnancy. Formation of your pregnancy is not completed until you fertilized egg has implanted in the lining of your uterus. The medical community considers you become pregnant official after you fertilized egg implantation has occurred you can confirm that you are pregnant by :.
If implantation does not occur, the fertilized egg will leave your body, perhaps during your period. Thus the conception is not automatically the same implantation or pregnancy.
A fertilized egg should make its way into the uterus and find a nice, comfortable place to attach. In view of the technical details, a trophoblast (tissue types) really develop from eggs fertilized and then surrounding it. This helps to instill trophoblast egg into the uterus. It started to push their way into the uterine wall. Next, trophoblast really interesting in the eggs from the uterine wall. This trophoblast later will occupy your blood vessels and blood drive to the fertilized egg. At this point, you can officially say implantation has occurred and pregnancy has begun.
