Now there is something to be said for patience. Your baby will come out when s / he is ready and some like to take their time. But if the date of induction and medical intervention looming, you might feel like you want to give him / soft touch. Here are some alternative methods to bring on labor.

Before you continue, we must warn you that there is very little hard scientific evidence relating to either the effectiveness or safety of any of these methods. Research has been done tend to be small and difficult to verify the evidence: if labor is due in any way, how do you know if it's your curry dinner which really brought on

? be sure to talk to your midwife or doctor at your next check-up before you try one of these methods. This is especially important if there are complications in your pregnancy, because there is less evidence about the safety of this method in high-risk pregnancies.

The various methods of how natural and non-medical for cervical ripening and labor induction include:

safe sex during your waters have not broken. Once this happens, sex can increase the risk of infection. You should also avoid sex if you have placenta (placenta previa) lowland or have vaginal bleeding. Men often feel uncomfortable making love to pair them with a baby so obviously present, but the baby will be hurt.

Be careful not to wear yourself. Labor can be tiring and you do not want to use all your energy before you start. This is not the time to take a power walk, especially if you do not do much exercise earlier in your pregnancy. A gentle stroll is probably the best you'll be able to manage.

(a) PN6 (PreNatal 6 = Squaw Vine Herb, Blessed Thistle Herb, Black Cohosh Root, Pennyroyal Herb, False Unicorn root, Red Raspberry Leaf, and Lobelia Herb) - can be used during the last 6 weeks of pregnancy as directed;

(b) 5W (5 weeks = Black cohosh root, squaw wine herb, dong quai root, butcher's broom root and red raspberry leaf) can be used for the last 5 weeks of pregnancy as directed.

There are many combinations of herbs in capsules, teas, and tinctures. Many healthcare providers encourage their use, but as scientific studies are lacking, we do not recommend one of these preparations at this time due to security concerns.

Unfortunately, the statistics out of this one, there is just not enough for the research support that any food that is effective in inducing labor. Anecdotes, women swear following are foods that will induce labor. Pineapple, spicy food, Chinese food, eggplant Parmesan, and Licorice

The most famous of these should be spicy food, such as spicy hot peppers or other Mexican dishes. What studies have now shown that these foods may be something to avoid before delivery. capsasins certain spicy foods release, which may be counterproductive in labor. When the baby down into the birth canal, the pressure exerted to release endorphins which are natural pain killers. As a result, capsasins ward endorphins and rob his mother natural ability to have a pain-free birth.

The eggplant parmesan is also in vogue for a while. While this dish may have contributed to the work force, it may not be because eggplant but for seasoning in the dish. Both herbs basil and oregano is contraindicated in pregnancy because of their potential ability to start work.

Pineapples are not supposed to induce labor, but suspected to be an agent that stimulates prostaglandin cervical ripening, although this has not been proven.

licorice, real licorice candy, black type, allegedly also stimulates the production of prostaglandins. This is due to a chemical, glycyrrhizin. Eating too much licorice might lead to mild diarrhea, which causes contractions of the intestine that can cause uterine contractions sympathetic. Type licorice can also be found in tablet form. Again, there is no definitive study showed that licorice can induce labor.

When looking for foods that induce labor, they consume only if they are something you normally choose. There is just not enough evidence to sa, Y they work for certain, and in which cases they can cause more harm than help, so the choice is yours
